Overview
Problem
AMA Care is a free app that helps users choose beauty products faster and more efficiently. It allows them to take or upload pictures of skincare or haircare products and instantly receive detailed information without needing a barcode scanner. Each product is analyzed and rated, making it easier for users to understand its ingredients and overall quality.
To improve user adoption and engagement, the team wanted to introduce a short, interactive onboarding video that would guide new users through the app’s core features and first steps.
My role
I was responsible for bringing the UI to life through animation, ensuring smooth transitions and an intuitive flow. I collaborated closely with the product designer, Kasia Krupinskaya, who developed the user flow and overall structure of the onboarding experience.
Design process
We started by reviewing the user journey to define key moments that needed animation. The goal was to ensure that each transition reinforced clarity.
I transform static UI screens into motion, focusing on smooth, natural transitions that guided the user.
After gathering feedback, I refined the animations to align with the product's tone and accessibility needs. The final version was optimized for seamless integration into the app.
Results
The onboarding video provided a friendly and engaging introduction for new users, making the first experience with the app more intuitive. By using motion strategically, we helped reduce cognitive load and improved user adoption.
